How good are you at making interviews? It is said by some that it is kind of an art. The truth is that, art or not, the only way of getting better at them is to practice. In fact, the more you have, the less you have to prepare them. In my case, I am not in the position to say that I am excellent at them, however, having made thousands of them, I believe that I have got the grip of them. Having said that, some students have asked me to help them with their interviews in English, and I have noticed that, in order to do that, first of all they have to learn how to go through job interviews in Spanish. Do you want some tips?
To begin with, it is always recommendable to search the company in question on Google so as to get to know them a little bit, for companies tend to ask potential employees what do they know about them. Once we have looked them up, you have to think up of the possible questions they may ask you depending on the job position you are applying for. Nevertheless, regardless of the possible technical questions you might have to overcome, it is true that most of the enterprises ask the same. Do you know which questions are the most frequent ones? Have a guess. For instance, the interviewers usually ask your weaknesses and your strengths, as well as where do you see yourself in five years. Not to mention the typical question of what could you offer to this company or why you would like to work with them. The point is that it is worthwhile preparing them in order to nail the interview, and that job is quite easy since you can find these questions on Internet.
Finally, work as well on your gesture since the non-verbal communication is essential, and a correct one will help you achieve your dream job. To be more specific, do not cross your arms and try to look into their eyes. However, all these pieces of advice may not work out at all unless the Human Resources Manager likes you from the beginning. Nonetheless, sometimes it is just a matter of good luck, so, should you have any interviews in the near future, good luck!

¿Eres bueno haciendo entrevistas?
