The EGB party/ La fiesta de los egeberos

Everyone is talking about it, have you been in Yo Fui a EGB concert? I did and I can assure that it was full of nostalgia, emotion and laughter. The party lasted six hours and not only had we the chance to enjoy the performance of loads of old bands from the 80s, but also we remembered funny old ads, classic movies and of course the songs that we used to sing when we were kids. Did you go? What was your favourite part?

From my point of view I have to say that the beginning of the festival was quite promising, making us laugh from the start making us recall our childhood. In addition, some of the first bands, La Guardia and Danza Invisible gave magical short gigs with their most popular hits. On the other hand, another of the best performances was the one of Tahúres Zurdos. To be honest I don´t know any of their songs but we cannot deny the power that Aurora Beltran embraces with her guitar.

Nevertheless, not everything was about rock and roll that Saturday. In particular, the pop of the 80s returned with Sabrina, with whom the whole Navarra Arena sang together Boys, boys, boys. Definitely a singer that was nothing to do with Toreros con Chanclas. Frankly speaking this last concert was rather tedious and long, I fail to understand why their performance was much longer taking into account that nobody was enjoining it. However, this excruciating hour led us to the best concert of the whole party: Seguridad Social.

Undoubtedly, Seguridad Social managed to wake all of us up and prepare ourselves for the explosive ending of the festival, Chimo Bayo, who represents the pure electronic music of that period of time. A kind of music that is not for everybody since many attendants left without waiting until the end. All in all, beside some ups and downs, the whole concert was totally worth it, and the idea of bringing up childhood memories between concerts was simply brilliant. What do you think?

Ha sido el evento del año. Todo el mundo habla de él, ¿has ido al concierto Yo Fui a EGB? Yo sí y puedo asegurar que estuvo lleno de nostalgia, emoción y risas. La fiesta duró seis horas y no solamente tuvimos la oportunidad de disfrutar de un montón de bandas de los 80, sino que también recordamos divertidos viejos anuncios, películas clásicas y por supuesto, cantamos las canciones que solíamos cantar cuando éramos pequeños. ¿Fuiste? ¿Cuál fue tu parte favorita?

Desde mi punto de vista tengo que decir que desde el principio el festival fue muy prometedor, haciéndonos reír desde el comienzo recordando nuestra infancia. Además, algunas de las primeras bandas,  La Guardia y Danza Invissible,  ofrecieron estupendos conciertos con sus mejores éxitos. Por otro lado, otra de las mejores actuaciones fue la de los Tahúres Zurdos. Para ser honestos, no me sé ninguna de sus canciones pero no se puede negar el poder de Aurora Beltran con la guitarra.

No obstante, no fue todo rock and roll aquel sábado. En particular, el pop de los 80 volvió con Sabrina, con quien todo el Navarra Arena cantó Boys, boys, boys. En definitiva, una cantante que no tiene nada que ver con Toreros con Chanclas. Sinceramente este concierto fue horroroso y largo. No entiendo por qué duró más que otros si a nadie le gustaba. Eso sí, esta hora infernal nos llevó al mejor concierto de la noche: Seguridad Social.

Sin lugar a dudas Seguridad Social consiguió despertarnos y preparanos para el explosivo fin de fiesta con Chimo Bayo, quien representa la pura electrónica de aquella época. Un tipo de música que no es desde luego para todo el mundo pues muchos asistentes se fueron antes de que finalizase el concierto. Con todo, a pesar de sus altibajos, el festival mereció la pena y la idea de traernos los recuerdos de la infancia entre concierto y concierto fue simplemente genial. ¿Qué opinas?
