The best heroes / Los mejores héroes

They are our heroes. Not only are our parents always going to help us and take care of us, but also they are going to look after our children. A role that, even though it seems easy, it is not, not at all, let alone when it comes to babies. Honestly speaking, in their sixties, our parents don’t have the same strength they used to when we were young, and the generation breach more often than not is rather difficult. But, why?

To begin with I strongly believe that the way in which we were raised has nothing to do with the current education. More specifically, when we were kids we would spend the whole afternoon in the street, playing with other children. However, in this day and age, the youngsters are surrounded by technological devices that make them addicted to the iPad and to the computer. In this case, the major problem is that old generations are more restrict than the new ones in the limitation of the use of technology, and that brings out conflicts.

On the other hand, apparently the working conditions of the new world are as well dissimilar, since, it is said that workers in their thirties and in their forties have nowadays more pressure on their jobs. Not to mention the fact that companies in Spain fail to offer flexibility as to enable employees to conciliate their careers with their families. 

On balance, should you take all of this into account, we see the whole generation of our parents struggling to cope with a completely different generation that is tough to educate, for their strong addiction to electronical devices among other things. For all  of that we all should be thankful to our parents, for, no matter what they will always be there giving us a hand.

Ellos son nuestros héroes. No solamente nuestros padres van a cuidar siempre de nosotros, sino que también van a cuidar de nuestros hijos. Un papel, que, aunque parezca sencillo, no lo es en absoluto, y menos aún cuando se trata de bebés. Sinceramente, nuestros padres ya no tienen a sus sesenta y pico años la fuerza que tenían cuando éramos pequeños, y la brecha generacional en ocasiones se vuelve muy en su contra. 

Para empezar, creo firmemente que la forma en la que fuimos educados no tiene nada que ver con la manera en la que se educa ahora. Más específicamente, cuando nosotros éramos críos solíamos pasar toda la tarde jugando en la calle con otros niños. Sin embargo, hoy en día los enanos están rodeados de tecnología, la cual les hace adictos al ipad y al ordenador. En este caso el mayor problema se halla en que las antiguas generaciones son más estrictas que las nuevas en el límite del uso de la misma, y eso en ocasiones genera conflictos.

Por otro lado, aparentemente las condiciones laborales del nuevo mundo son también distintas. Y es que se suele decir que los trabajadores tienen ahora más presión en sus trabajos. Por no mencionar el hecho de que las compañías en España no suelen ofrecer flexbilidad para que los empleados puedan conciliar su carrera con su familia.

En resumidas cuentas, si tenemos todo esto en consideración, vemos a toda la generación de nuestros padres toreando con fuerza a una generación que es completamente distinta y difícil de educar debido, entre otras cosas, a su fuerte adicción a la tecnología . Por todo ello deberíamos darles las gracias, ya que, llueva o nieve, siempre van a echarnos una mano.
