Taking advantage of your health/ Aprovechándose de tu salud

Have you noticed how expensive is It to go to the pharmacy? It is well known that nowadays everything is utterly expensive, above all petrol and sunflower oil, however, to my surprise, I have realised that lately doctors tend to prescript some of the most expensive medicines, why is that?

The fact is that in this day and age, less and less medicines are funded by the state , costing between fifteen and thirty euros, which is beyond any logic. To make things worse, had it not been for a person that is under the same treatment as I am, I would have continued paying twenty euros per month for not being aware of the existence of much cheaper options, since none of my doctors had had the decency to inform me about those.

What is happening? Are the doctors not in the know regarding updated prices or is there an upper voice that asks them to recommend and prescript expensive medication? Actually, the last time that I went to the pharmacy I refused to pay about fifty euros for my prescriptions and I asked for a cheaper option. Are we insane? Definitely I am not in the position of wasting so much money in medicine for I have enough with filling my car with petrol.

On balance, I am wondering whether there is a plan to take advantage of the population by raising the prices of every single basic product. Surely the inflation is the one to blame, nevertheless I consider that many companies, and even the government itself, are making business out of it. Don’t you think?

¿Has notado qué caro es ir a la farmacia? Es bien sabido que hoy en día todos los precios están subiendo, sobre todo el de la gasolina y el aceite de girasol, no obstante, para mi sorpresa, me he dado cuenta de que últimamente nuestros doctores tienden a prescribir medicinas caras, ¿por qué?

El hecho es que actualmente cada vez menos medicinas están subvencionadas por el estado, costando entre quince y treinta euros, lo cual está lejos de cualquier lógica. Para empeorar las cosas, si no hubiese sido por una persona que está recibiendo el mismo tratamiento que yo, hubiese seguido pagando veinte euros al mes por no saber de la existencia de opciones más baratas, ya que ningún doctor tuvo la decencia de informarme de ellas.

¿Qué está sucediendo? ¿No son los doctores conscientes de la subida de estos precios o es que hay una voz superior que les exige que recomienden y prescriban medicina cara? De hecho, la última vez que fui a la farmacia me negué a gastar cincuenta euros y pedí una opción más económica. ¿Estamos locos? Sin lugar a dudas no estoy en la posición de gastar tanto dinero en medicina, ya tengo suficiente con la gasolina.

En resumidas cuentas, me pregunto si hay algún plan para aprovecharse de la población subiendo los precios de todos los productos básicos. Ciertamente la inflación es la gran culpable, sin embargo, pienso que muchas compañías, e incluso el gobierno, están haciendo bastante dinero con ello. ¿No crees?
