Harry and Meghan, is it fair?/ Enrique y Meghan, ¿justicia?

Guess about what is the whole UK talking about. Yes, about the impact of the docuseries of Netflix Harry and Meghan. Is The Crown going to make a comment on what the former Dutch of Sussex has stated? In my opinion there are other things than deserve more attention since I was expecting more harmful revelations that the ones published. What´s your opinion?

To begin with, in general, to my mind, most of the thoughts expressed by the couple are more than positive towards the late Queen, what´s more, they haven´t explained at all what exactly happened when supposedly some members of the Royal Family mentioned how dark the skin of their oldest son, Archie, is. In addition, barely nothing is developed related to the polemic day when it is said Meghan made Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, cried. Moreover, from my point of view, the negative aspects that the marriage showed about the Crown are not so extreme as to create a serious conflict.

However, what I would like to highlight is a statement that is expressed on the series. More specifically, apparently the yellow English press justifies their ruthless harassment based on the fact that the British population support the royal family with their taxes, therefore, they deserve to be a constant matter of interest. But, is this fair? Let put ourselves in this situation, should your manager decide to hire you and give you an amazing amount of money per year due to your important position, does that entitle your boss to put you down, bully and mistreat you so notably? I particularly don´t think so.

On balance, surely the royals have to put up with being so popular, but up to a certain extent, don´t you agree?

¿Adivina de qué está hablando todo el Reinido Unido? Sí, sobre la docuserie de Netflix Harry y Meghan. ¿Va La Corona a realizar algún comentario sobre lo que los ex Duques de Sussex han afirmado? En mi opinión hay otras cosas que merecen más nuestra atención, ya que esperaba declaraciones mucho más hirientes que las que salen publicadas, ¿qué opinas? 

Para empezar, en general, opino que casi todas las opiniones mostradas por la pareja son más que positivas acerca de la Reina. Lo que es más, ni siquiera han explicado qué sucedió cuando supuestamente algunos miembros de la realeza mencionaron lo oscura que era la piel de su hijo mayor, Archie. Además, apenas se desarrolla la polémica que hubo con la supuesta alegación de que Meghan hizo llorar a Kate Middleton, la Princesa de Gales. De hecho, desde mi punto de vista, los negativos aspectos que el matrimonió mostró sobre la Corona no me parercieron tan extremos como para crear un serio conflicto.

No obstante, lo que me gustaría resaltar es una idea que la serie subraya. Más específicamente, aparentemente la prensa amarilla inglesa justifica su acoso sin piedad basándose en el hecho de que la población inglesa mantiene la Corona con sus impuestos, por tanto, tienen que ser un constante foco de interés a toda costa. Pero, ¿es esto justo?

 Y es que pongámonos en esta situación, si tu jefe decide contratarte ofreciéndote una cantidad importante de dinero debido a la importancia de tu puesto, ¿esto le da derecho a hacer contigo lo que quiera? Pues yo creo que no.

 En resumidas cuentas, por supuesto que la Corona tiene que convivir con su enorme popularidad, pero hasta cierto punto, ¿no crees?
